Light‑Grey Virgin Wood‑Pulp Decorative Base Paper

1. Cost-effective light-grey substrate

Free of core-coloring treatment with reliable performance. It helps cut raw-material costs for mass production orders applying standard edge-banding.

2. Uniform surface dyeing for clean finishes

Evenly dispersed surface pigments avoid floating color and mottling after impregnation and hot-pressing, delivering neat and soft matte plain-color appearance.

3.Balanced physical performance for mass-production lines

Well-balanced machine-direction and cross-direction strength offers good tear and tensile resistance. Low breakage rate during high-speed impregnation, hot-pressing and slitting. Minimal surface dust prevents roller sticking in printing processes.

Production Line

Light‑Grey Virgin Wood‑Pulp Decorative Base Paper is produced on Lunan New Materials’ intelligent production line for general‑grade decorative base paper. The whole procedure includes pulp preparation, sheet forming, pressing, drying, surface uniform dyeing, calendering, online defect inspection and roll slitting. Equipped with dedicated surface dyeing units, color pigments attach evenly to paper surface, differing from pulp‑internal coloring for core‑matched paper. The fully‑automatic closed‑loop system monitors basis weight, moisture and surface hue in real time. Online visual inspection removes pinholes, pulp lumps and specks. Finished jumbo rolls are tightly wound with neat end faces and consistent batch performance. It steadily fulfils continuous‑production requirements from large‑scale domestic decoration and general overseas clients.

Packaging & Shipping

Jumbo paper rolls are wrapped with composite kraft paper and protected by circular paper end rings, then sealed with special tape against dust. For export shipments, extra moisture‑proof film is applied. Rolls are placed on fumigated solid‑wood pallets, secured by strapping tapes with anti‑collision pads to prevent end‑face damage. Desiccants are placed inside sea‑freight containers to avoid condensation‑caused dampness. Domestic goods are delivered in fully‑enclosed covered trucks; rolls shall stand vertically without heavy stacking. Shipping marks indicate model, basis weight, width, batch No. and net weight. Full‑pallet LTL and mixed‑loading for small trial orders are acceptable.

FAQ

Q1:What color will the cross‑section be after milling and grooving?

A:This product adopts surface‑only dyeing. The paper core retains natural pulp color and will show original core color after milling. Edge‑banding is strongly recommended. It is not suitable for edge‑banding‑free or 45‑degree miter‑joint applications. Please select Light‑Grey Core‑Matched Decorative Base Paper if uniform cross‑section color is needed.

Q2:Can it be used as printing base paper? Will base color show through?

A:It works well as printing substrate. Dark patterns gain good hiding performance on this light‑grey base. Pre‑production sampling is recommended for light‑toned prints to verify covering effect.

Q3:Is mixed‑container loading available? What is the MOQ?

A:Export mixed‑container shipment is supported. As a regular stock color, it accepts small trial orders. MOQ is lower than custom special colors. Please contact our sales team for details.

Q4:What are the storage requirements?

A:Store in dry and ventilated warehouse with relative humidity at 45‑65%. Keep rolls vertical and away from moisture of walls and floors. Process unpacked rolls promptly. Long‑time open storage will change paper moisture content and impair impregnation performance.

Q5What is the main difference between this paper and Light‑Grey Core‑Matched Decorative Base Paper?

A:This version has light‑grey surface with natural‑color core and superior cost‑performance for edge‑banded products. The core‑matched variant features consistent grey color throughout surface and core for edge‑banding‑free milling, at relatively higher cost.
